When addressing a letter to a homosexual couple, what is the proper way to do this? This particular couple that I am writing a Christmas card to are married. However, in the state in which we live, gay marriage is not recognized. Would it be just more polite to include both of their first and last names on the envelope? Please help!

Your Christmas card need not be directed by the legalities in your state. The proper way to address a couple is to place both of their names on one line.
Mr. John Doe and Mr. Chris Frank. How else were you thinking of addressing them?
