I recently sent flowers to a friend who lives in another state, and was surprised to hear that the flowers delivered were not what I had ordered. This has me considering, when a gift is sent directly from a company to a recipient and there is an error, what is the best way to handle the situation? Is having the correct flowers sent likely to make the recipient uncomfortable?

I would speak to the company a credit back would be appropriate

I would think it would also depend on what was different about the flowers. For instance, if you sent yellow roses because they were a deseased person’s favorite flowers and they were sent to honor a birthday or anniversary. Then you “might” want the original flowers to be sent. However, in most cases, I would agree with Alicia’s advice.
