Fall Fashion

I was flipping through the November 2012 InStyle (great issue!) and was inspired by two components: an ad (of all things) and an article on slimming dresses. Kohl’s is now doing what Target has so successfully been doing with their limited designer releases. Narciso Rodriguez has paired with Kohl’s for a November 7 release on some bright color block dresses. What caught my eye is the above dress with the black side panels. That was the ad. Then, as I continued flipping, I came upon the “Your Look” segment which focuses on “Insta-slim dresses.” Always a good thing, I say! Featured are contrast panel dresses with vertical lines along the sides or down the front, narrowing hips and flattening/flattering tummies. Yup, I am going to stop by Kohl’s on November 7 to see if I can snap up that cute dress.

I love those earrings.
I’m happy to say that one of your previous suggestions, the teal jacket, I purchased and wear all the time. Thanks for your posts.

I must say, the dress the model is wearing is a great, modest length. This is a great thing.

Thanks for the positive replies. This was a set I was inspired to create last year when the Narciso Rodriguez line was coming out at Kohl’s. Unfortunately, I went and tried on the dress and it didn’t work for me (so disappointing because it seemed perfect as a go-to work dress). I ended up getting a similar dress from Ann Taylor that worked perfectly for me. If you don’t already, I hope you will follow my blog Professionality or stay tuned here at the Etiquette Daily for other workwear looks that are professional but still have personality. Best, Dawn aka Professionality
