I have been invited to a wedding that is 2 weeks away, from a former coworker, whom I have seen once in the past 8 years. The invitation wasn’t even mailed to me, it was scanned and emailed! Am I still required to send a gift? I feel like that may have been the only reason I was invited!
You are not required to do anything other than email back your best wishes along with your regrets (assuming you aren’t planning to attend for whatever reason).
Thank You!
I agree with JustLaura that there’s no gift obligation. Respond promptly that you can’t attend and at most send a congratulatory card — I’d think that would be sufficient.
