Q: My nephew was married four months ago and now his new bride wants to call it quits. What is the proper thing they should do with the wedding gifts?
A: All wedding gifts should be returned, with a brief note of explanation. Gifts that have been used, such as bed linens, cannot be returned, but a short note of explanation should be sent to the giver.
