I have been invited to a co-worker’s wedding. The invitation listed my name “and Guest”. As I am a single parent and my son is almost 13 (and can maintain a low profile), would it be okay for him to be my guest? He has expressed an interest in wanting to attend.

Unless you happen to know that the couple is prohibiting those under a certain age (no one under 18, for instance), I don’t see why you can’t bring your son. I hope you both have a ball. :)

In theory yes but since he is a minor and they may be excluding children why not ask your coworker what he or she thinks of your son attending as your guest?
