I am using postcards for wedding guests to RSVP. What is proper for a formal invitation? Should the response card be addressed to Mrs. John William Noble III or Mr. and Mrs. John William Noble III?
Either form of address would be formally appropriate. (http://www.emilypost.com/communication-and-technology/notes-and-letters/96-guide-to-addressing-correspondence)
Whether or not to include a response card, and by extension to whom it should be addressed, are based entirely on the preferences of those involved.
If the Father of the Bride prefers to be included, there is no reason he couldn’t be.
