I was raised that if you were in the proximity of someone who sneezed that you kindly said “God Bless You” or “Bless You”. It did not manner how many other people said it, you were simply wishing the sneezer well. My husband thinks differently, he says that as long as one person says “God Bless You” or “Bless You” that there is no reason for anyone else to say it to the sneezer. Please advise, thanks.

I hope, if I’m in a traffic accident, more than one call is placed to 911. While sneezing isn’t the same, it doesn’t hurt to receive more than one “Bless you.” However, all those present shouldn’t feel it necessary to chime in if sufficient acknowledgement is made by others. My personal preference is the less disruption, the better…hmm, I guess its a draw!

Dear Mrs. Post,

I am curious on the age limit of a Halloween ritual – trick or treating, where kids incant the litany as they petition for candy, “Trick or Treat.” How old do you think is too old for that activity? I’m just curious about the age limit – that’s all.
