It is almost never too late. You can mention that you are sorry it has taken so long to thank them properly but that you really appreciate the hospitality they showed you. I am sure they will appreciate the gesture.

After reading the letter concerning the thank you note to his parents, I just realized that I haven't sent my own boyfriend's parents a thank you note. I stayed with them for the first time about a month ago. Is is too late to send them one or should I just remember to do it the next time?

Thank you!!

No, it is not necessary to thank them for thanking you with the gift card. It is good to see that your generosity was appropriately acknowledged.

We lent our big van for a group to travel to another city to catch a cruise ship. We recieved a thank you note addressed and written to my husband, with a gift card in it. Should we send a thank you for the gift card? If so, should we send individual thank you's?

Kindnesses should always be acknowledged, and family deserves thank you notes just as much or even more than those we are not related to, so yes, keep writing those notes (and teach your babies)!

Good morning! I have a Thank You note question.

For the past several years, whenever I travelled with my boyfriend to visit his parents, I sent them a thank you note after to thank them for hosting me. Now my boyfriend is my fiance, and we will be staying with his parents for Christmas. Should I still send thank you notes now that we are engaged? If so, do I continue to send them after we're married?

Thanks so much!
