I am having a debate with colleagues about how to properly write R.s.v.p on an invitation…what is the correct way to do it? I’ve always thought it was and should be written as I have written in my comments.
You are correct, though some typograhers, for the sake of design, take liberties with all capitals. Think of it this way, “Respond, if you please” is a sentence; we normally only capitalize the first word of a sentence, yes?
