Do you give presents at an engagement party?
It is not universally expected although this is becoming quite common in some parts of the country.
i am having a baptism gathering for my 5 year old i dont want people to feel they need to bring gifts and if they do i would rather not have toys is there something i can put on the invitation not making them feel obligated ????
It is okay to include a brief request of “no gifts please” on an invitation.
